Please join ITSA along with Gamestop, Radar, Microsoft, and Catskeller in bringing UC the biggest, baddest Madden tournament it’s ever seen. On September 26, ITSA will be kicking off the new school year and celebrating Madden football’s 20th anniversary with a Madden 2009 party.

***WHAT WE’RE DOING:*** ITSA and Catskeller will be hosting a Madden 2009 tournament at Catskeller. Tournament brackets will fill up quickly - so sign up, grab a controller, and bring your A game to the table. Fight your way to the top and take home the grand prize.

Also, as part of the event, ITSA and its sponsors are hosting a LAN party in TUC.

We will be breaking out the highly-anticipated Rock Band 2 for the Xbox 360. We will also have other HUGE titles for both the Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360.
And yes, of course we'll have a TON of prizes and swag to give away, including a raffle for our top prizes. Join us to start the quarter off right.
HINT: (When ITSA officers see you shredding on Rock Band, it makes us want to give you free stuff)

***WHEN:*** The event will be held on Friday, September 26th. This is the first Friday of the fall quarter. Mark it on your calendar! The event commences at 6pm and the tournament will kick off at 7pm sharp.

***WHERE:*** The Madden tournament itself will be held at Catskeller (TUC level 1). The game party will be held on the 4th floor of TUC. Look for the signs!

***COST:*** Because of our generous sponsors and ITSA foot-soldiers, the event admission and tournament sign-up are completely free of charge.

****THOSE INTERESTED IN TOURNY REGISTRATION****
Registration for the tournament is currently OPEN. Below are two ways to regsiter. Please do not depends on walk-up registration, because only a VERY FEW spots will be held for walk-ups. Registering is pretty simple - either:

1. Follow the link on this page (MADDEN REGISTRATION... below in 'Posted Items'). This will direct you to a registration thread on ITSA's Facebook page. Please post your name and email address in this topic. If we have a spot for you, you will receive a confirmation email as well as a Facebook message letting you know. We will also send you a copy of the official tournament rules, as well as other details for the tournament.

2. Send your name to itsa.uc@gmail.com with the words “Madden Registration” in the subject title. If a spot is open we will send you a confirmation the tournament rules as well as other information you will need for the tournament.

NOTICE: The Madden 2009 tournament will be using Xbox 360 consoles provided by Microsoft. If you are accustomed to another console, we recommend you familiarize yourself with the 360’s control scheme.

ALSO, for the sake of simplicity, ITSA request that you bring your own Xbox 360 controller. If you do not own a controller, you will need a valid ID (driver’s lisence, student ID) to borrow an ITSA controller at the event. If you do not have a driver’s license and are not a student, please email (itsa.uc@gmail.com) with your name and “Controller Pass” in the subject title.

As mentioned above we will have Rock Band 2 and other aawesome games on the 4th floor of TUC during the length of the event. Feel free to come and go. We will provide the games and contollers.
